[singlepic id=360 w=160 h=120 mode=web20 float=left]A windy and sometimes wet Phillip Island played host to Round 1 of the Australian Manufacturers Championship. Adam Dodd & Mark Bell debuted the Valvoline SYNPower MPS6 in a highly competitive class C. Dodd and Bell raced home in a 4 hour endurance test to finish 9th outright and 3rd in class.
Dodd managed to consistently set the 3rd fastest outright time in every wet session and one of the best dry times in class. The Valvoline SynPower Mazda 6 MPS performed faultlessly in all conditions and surprised many in the paddock.

As the circuit dried Bell & Dodd where forced to surrender their positions to the high=powered outright contenders. With 30 minuted to go the rain returned and Dodd wasted no time in reducing the deficit. Dodd and Bell will continue their assault on the AMC endurance events with the next round set for Sydney Motorsport Park.
